The Armstrong Atlantic State University Foundation, Inc The Armstrong Atlantic State University Foundation, Inc. is the legal entity designated to receive charitable contributions on behalf of Armstrong Atlantic State University. The foundation is a non-profit Georgia Corporation and is exempt from federal income taxation under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The foundation's purpose is to acquire and administer funds and gifts for the support of the university and its programs. The officers and board of directors regulate and supervise the activities of the foundation. The net assets of the foundation have risen from $298,978 in 1994 to almost $4 million in 2003. The foundation provides more than $300,000 annually to enhance academics and service programs of the university. Educational Properties Foundation, Inc. Educational Properties Foundation, Inc., (EPFI) was formed to function as a quasi-independent real estate committee of the AASU Foundation. EPFI's purpose is to acquire real estate of strategic value to AASU, retire the debt, and deed the property to AASU.
